Follow these steps to get your GigaSpire u4hm set up—your patio’s about to get a major WiFi level-up!
Start by unboxing your new outdoor WiFi system—everything you need is inside, ready to make your outdoors awesome.
Choose a spot clear of obstacles—think wall or pole, within 15’ of a power outlet if AC-powered.
Screw the mounting plate to the wall vertically—your GigaSpire’s ready to stand tall and proud!
Pop off the base cover and thread your cable and power cords through – neat and tidy, just how you like it.
Grounding’s optional but recommended in lightning-prone areas—check the guide or call an electrician if you’re unsure.
Choose your power style—plug into an outdoor outlet or use Power over Ethernet via an Ethernet cable.
Open the CommandIQ app, head to “Network,” click “Add Equipment,” and scan the QR code on the back—boom, you’re in! Once in the app, take a moments to name your device for easy identification.
Slide your GigaSpire u4hm onto the mounting bracket—your outdoor WiFi’s ready to rock!
Once your system is installed, run a bandwidth test in the CommandIQ app to test your connection.
Grounding your GigaSpire u4hm keeps your system safe and sound. If you’re not sure how to ground it, please check with an electrician.
